Act 1: Monster Within

"There is a monster within each and everyone of us."

The scene opens on the beautiful island somewhere in the South Pacific. The bright sun hung over head against the bright blue sky, and the water sparkled as seagulls circled in search of their next meal. The camera moves over the water and soon stops on an all to familiar island. The camera moves over the quiet island and stops on the massive building that looms over the abandoned city that sat below it. The sounds of heavy thudding steps can be heard echoing in the building as it shows the hulking figure of Ragnarok walking through the hallway. As he reaches a set of double door to her lab he sees Rene laid out in the middle of the floor. A cameraman lays near her unmoving with his camera near by. The lab itself seems untouched. Ragnarok looks around and rushes to Rene and scoops her up into his arms protectively as he glares at the cameraman.

Ragnarok: Dr. Volkov are you alright?

Rene starts to come to and sees that she is in Ragnarok's arms.

Rene: W-w-what happened?

Ragnarok: I found you and the cameraman unconscious did he do something? Should I crush his skull under my boot?

Rene: I don't believe so. I don't remember what happened. Let me check on him and see if he is alive.

Ragnarok sets her on her feet and watches her. She moves to the cameraman, seeing marks on his throat as if he had been strangled. Rene tries to feel a pulse but there is nothing. She shakes her head, and gets to her feet.

Rene: He's dead...

Ragnarok: What should I do?

Rene: Put him on that table over there, and we'll deal with him later... I need to figure out what happened... I can't remember anything.

Ragnarok picks up the cameraman and sets him on the table.

Ragnarok: Do you have any camera footage?

Rene picks up the camera and presses a button. The little screen comes to life and sees her standing in front of the camera going on about her match. Something long almost like a tentacle lifting the camera man up into the air. The sound of him choking is heard, and then a snap. The camera man is tossed and all that is seen is a set of long legs that seemed to be a light green in color with long hair falling to the ground.

Rene: What in the world...

Ragnarok: That seems very strange. Should I go hunting?

Rene: There would be windows broken or something. Nothing seems to be out of place or has escaped... Maybe its something that I have missed...

Ragnarok: What should I do?

Rene: Search the island. See if something is out there that would be able to go invisible or move through solid walls. There might be something that my father never spoke of.

Ragnarok: I will find it for you.

Rene: Good. Just be careful. We don't know what we are dealing with.

Ragnarok: I will be ready, I am always up for the hunt.

Rene smiles and kisses him on the cheek.

Rene: I know, but still be careful.

Ragnarok: Lock down everything and stay safe I will return.

Rene: I will.

Ragnarok grabs a spear and shield and heads out. Rene watches him walk out of the lab and sighs. She turns back to the camera man and starts to look him over.

Voice Over: What happened? I don't remember anything, let alone know what did this to him. Whatever it was killed him and yet... Left me alive. Why? There is something more here... Something that I have missed... But what?

Rene hooks the camera up to a computer screen and soon the video begins to play. Rene stands in front of the camera dressed in a white lab coat with her blond hair pulled back away from her face and her violet eyes shimmered in the lights over head.

Rene: I don't even know where to begin with our opponents. They just arrived in NCW and they have a chance at the number one contenders spot for the Tag Team Championship. Jennifer and I have been after them since the company reopened! Even before then. We have been denied time and time again, but this is our time to shine and take what is rightfully ours.

Rene watches the footage and as she spoke she noticed one thing. Her eyes had started to change into the black slits like that of an octopus.

Rene: Knox, Matador I'm not sure you even understand what you are getting yourselves into. We have been here for a while and have made names for ourselves. You have yet to even have a match, let alone survive a match against anyone. I will take great pleasure in punishing you and make you realize that you will never be ready for anything that I can throw at you. Don't underestimate me. I may look innocent but there is a secret that I hide and one that you I hope you will never experience first hand.

As she begins to pace, something seems to change. Her demeanor seems to change, and her skin seems to start to change from a tan to what appears to be a light green. The camera man is taken off of his feet and tossed across the room as the camera falls to the floor.  Rene watches the screen as her eyes get wide and sees the slender legs with the same green coloring, as the screen goes black.

Rene: My God... It wasn't a monster... It was...

She stares ahead a the scene fades to black leaving all of us to wonder what she had discovered in the end.
