Inside of the great Amalie Arena in Sunrise, Florida catering area was the man who is known in the Neo Championship Wrestling federation as " Dangerous" Dean Tyler. He was seen eating his food when a camera crew was seen approaching him. He looked up at the camera and say.
" Dangerous" Dean Tyler: You ingrates really don't know when to let anyone be. Well, I'm going to be in a Strange Bedfellows tag team match on the upcoming Monday Night Battery show. Who's going to be my strange bedfellow tag team partner going to be? I heard that it's the Legendary man himself Brian Kennedy. Brian, I now have newfound respect towards you. Yes, it took me a while but I say that we go into the match and kick both Sephiroth du Lac and his strange bedfellow tag team partner, Miss Rene Volkov. Sephiroth, you have been a really bad thorn on my side. Yes, you have beaten me before but you have something that I want. It's the Bloody Hardcore Championship title and I will have it by any means necessary even if it kills me. You call yourself The Dark Lord? It's high time that I make you bow down to me, you peasant! Rene, you are the wildcard. This will be our first encounter meeting each other. That will not mean a thing when me and Brian will show you two that we are ready to go to war with you. If you excuse me, I'm going to go meet up with Brian to talk about the match.
He got up from his chair, walked out of the catering room and go meet up with Brian to talk about their tag team match.

*The camera falls on the interior of one of the most private areas of Du Lac Manor as we hear the sound of a simple clock ticking loudly. As we pan backward from it we take in the sight. A simple office with a huge cherrywood desk highly polished and varnished. The large window behind it shines what little sunlight there is on this overcast day as raven sits black as pitch with bright red eyes flapping and cawing in it's birdcage. It flaps causing the cage to sway as the camera moves over other curious things. File cabinets, books on a bookshelf. There is not a speck of dust on the air. The room has the feel of a surgical room. Quiet and clinical. If one could smell it it would smell like old books and potpourri. It's a quiet room, a private sanctuary from the troubles of a great burden. It is here we open on him as he walks in. His hand casting his long tailed coat along the coat rack. His clean white silk shirt and cravat decorating his chest as he turns on a simple desk lamp sitting a few steps away from a hand carved ivory chess set sitting on a single hand carved wooden chess board. He sits letting his hair fall down around his face. His green eyes shining in the dimlight as he looks over the contents of the desk. The man is Sephiroth du Lac and he is a man of deep purpose. He sighs as he glances at a folder that sits before him slowly opening it. The candid image of Rene Volkov as he stares down placing his fingers to his chin before leaning back lifting the file and looking at it gently.*
Ah the reprieve of solitude. Isn't it a wondrous thing? To feel so at ease. Everyone should have such a private study. Quiet. Calm. Serenity itself. Away from prying eyes. Away from all the difficulties. This is where I get my true work done. My passion. The thing I have devoted my unlife to. That which I promised her so long ago. Peace for our kind. A society. A chance. Protection under the penalty of our own law. Our own society. That is what the Darkside is all about. And so it is that once more we open the door and greet one of our own. For what you may call a stranger....
*He stops a moment setting the file down before glancing over at a simple picture frame nearby. He sits the file down picking up the picture and staring at it's contents. The image of a wedding party. Of a beautiful latina woman standing beside him. At a masked man standing beside them. At a woman of exotic beauty in a bridesmaids dress and beside her the oddest sight of all a man... a man one can easily make out as the one known as Stalker a smile on his face his arm around Sephiroth. For a moment Seph smiles and the intent is clear whatever he sees is a good memory.*
.... I call my friends.
*Suddenly there comes a tapping along the old oak door in the far side of the room as Seph's smile begins to fade. Few would dare to enter such a sacred place. Fewer still disturb in such a candid moment. He sits the picture down placing it face down before picking up the file and choosing to ignore the interruption only for the door to creep open and an even creepier sight as Sothren himself slinks inside the room.*
Soth: Hiya, brother! How was the tourney?
*Seph barely looks up though the annoyance is clear in his voice.. Sothren is clearly unwelcome here.*
Seph: I didn't say 'come in', Sothren.
*Sothren just shrugs obliviously*
Soth: I figure you wouldn't mind a spot of company. All coped up in here away from the women folk.
Seph: You figured wrong.
*Sothren just plops down in the big plush red leather chair the sound of escaping air matching the raspberry he blows at Seph as he sinks down as Seph looks up just once and turns back to the file trying to hide himself from the annoyance of the interloper.*
But as always interlopers often gather. Outsiders who don't belong in one way or another. People like you, Mr. Tyler. People who don't know that they just don't belong. You see I am not like these other champions. I have no qualms about facing you for my belt. See I don't mind that you were a bit naughty, Dean. What I hate is that you were sloppy. You didn't get the job done, did you? And now here we are. You interfered in my fun. My delights. I don't care for trespassers, Mr. Tyler. You have no idea the trouble you have stepped into. No comprehension of what you have done. Whether through simple ignorance or some misplaced bravado you have stumbled into the wrong battle and even now what you may think of as an oppertunity... I think of as an amusement. You want a battle, Mr. Tyler, I am more than happy to oblige.
*Sothren just taps his hands as if he were a bored child kicking his feet as Seph annoyedly glances over his file and sighs.*
Soth: Whacha doin?
Seph: Getting prepared.
Soth: For what?
Seph: My meeting.
Soth: With whom?
*Seph sets the file on his lap and just looks at Sothren with a somewhat cynical glance.*
Seph: Do you really care? Or are you just asking to annoy the piss out of me?
*Sothren just smiles broadly with a toothy grin>*
Soth: Please, brother?
*Seph just sighs and sets the folder down on the desk leaning on his folded hands.*
Seph: I'm meeting with, Dr. Volkov, it would seem her father was a rather naughty boy.
*Sothren stands up walking to the desk and glancing a bit upside down to read the folder.*
Soth: Oooo chimera, eh? Sounds like she tastes fishy.
*Seph glances up annoyed at Sothren more annoyed now then ever as he towers over the chair.*
Seph: Sothren, if you cannot speak with a civil tongue and tone I'm going to have to stick you outside with the rest of the animals.
*Sothren just smiles broadly.*
Soth: You won't do that...
*Suddenly the smile fades.*
Soth: Will you?
*Seph leans in with an angry look.*
Seph: Tempt me.
*Sothreen goes wide eyed with fear a moment then points to the Raven in the cage sitting over Seph's shoulder.*
Soth: The bird gets to stay! Why can't I?!
*Seph leans back stroking the birds feathered plumage through the cage as hthe raven gently nudges at his hand.*
Seph: Because Morrigan can actually be quiet and civil unlike other animals in this house. Now sit!
*Sothren quickly moves to his seat from before the chair slowly deflates as he sits quietly.*
Seph: Well, what do you know? Cleo was wrong... you can be trained.
And then there is you, Mr. Kennedy. Now to others you maybe a nuissance or a dangerous man. But to one such as myself? I find no fault in you. You see I know what it is to have ambitions. To dream beyond your means. You came up from the muck and mire and truly made something of yourself, bravo I must say. Be that as it may there are some... some mind you that would say it was Fathi that caused your great success. But we know better don't we? But here is the rub, Mr. Kennedy. You have never faced me. You have never faced one such as I. To me you are no more than those little Brujah that dance around fires and call for equality while feeding off of what we give them. You succeed because I let you. You excel because I allow it. Just as you draw breath because I will it to be so. And if I didn't Brian... all your ambitions? Your wants? Your dreams? They'd all be gone in one quick motion. To that I say. I want you to succeed, Brian, so take an old man's advice. Stay out of my way.
*For a few minutes time begins to tick away and Sothren sits quiet. Seph only occasionally looking up from is file to see Sothren pretending to lock his lips shut. Seph just shakes his head and continues to read only to have Sothren finally sigh out of boredom. In a few moments he begins drumming his hands again looking around bored. The Raven caws at him and he sticks his tongue out at it only for Seph to look up and Sothren to pretend to wet his lips and look about innocently.*
You see what you consider a strange bedfellows match I see as something much more. The beginning of something. You can feel it can't you? That feeling on the wind. The weather silo changes. The winds are moving in my favor and so the question begins. What could it be? What lies beyond that horizon. For what is a stranger but a friend you have yet to meet?
*Seph smiles placing a finger on Rene's face in her candid picture and smiling darkly before glancing up only to see Sothren with thew picture frame from before. Looking at it as he smiles bright.*
Soth: Man this was a while back. Hard to believe she was a nun once. She made an ugly bitch in the end though, what what, brother?
*Seph slams the folder on the desk.*
Seph: THAT'S IT! NO MORE!
*Seph stands abruptly walking around the desk and snatching Sothren by the ear. Pulling and tugging on him dragging him out of the room with violent gesticulation as he flings open the door and charges down the hall Sothren in tow. Seph charges down the hall as Emily, Cleo and Stacy watch as the scene fades to black.*

Act 1: Deals with the Devil
The scene opens on the beautiful countryside of New York as the sun started to set over the vast countryside. The sound of crickets echos through the night as the smell of smoke from the chimney's from the farms drifts on the air. The stars were starting to appear against the twilight sky as the last rays of the sun set against the horizon. The sound of a car is heard coming from the long stretch of road, as we soon see a white Lexus speeding along the road, heading toward an unknown spot. The camera moves to the interior of the car and we see Rene sitting in the driver's seat. She looked down at the GPS and sighs and glances over at the paper mat that sat on the other seat. Her mind drifted back to just a few hours before she had arrived in New York.
A Few Hours Ago
The scene changes to the strange island somewhere in the South Pacific. The tall glistening building that over looked the rest of the island, shimmered in the bright afternoon sun, as we see Rene standing near one of the windows over looking the island with Ragnarok standing near by. He stares down at the gps that sat in front of him, and shakes his head.
Ragnarok: It doesn't make any sense. It's not picking up on the GPS at all.
Rene: Yes I know... I've tried to look the town up and it seems like it doesn't exist but the address is right there on the card.
Ragnarok: Maybe it's on one of the paper maps. I mean they're not usually updated as often.
Rene turns and walks back toward the table as he spreads out a map of New York. They start to look over the map and soon they see a small town with the name Dunwich just off of another long stretch of road.
Rene: Look, there off that one exit it's right there! But why can't we find it on the GPS?
Ragnarok: It seems like someone doesn't want anyone to find it.
Rene looks across at Ragnarok as the scene fades to black.
Rene snaps from her thoughts as she soon spots a strange sign with the words "WELCOME TO DUNWICH" HELL. Rene looks at the sign and takes a deep breath as she continues along the long stretch of road. The small town soon comes into view and she stops at the small general store. She gets out and walks up the stairs, and opens the squeaky screen door, and walks inside letting her eyes adjust to the dimness of the small quaint store. An older looking man steps out from the back and he smiles widely as he steps behind the counter.
Man: Welcome to Dunwich ma'am.
Rene: Thank you. So I am in the right place then?
Man: You must be headed up to the old Du Lac estate then.
Rene: Yes. Am I close?
Man: Yes you are. Mister du Lac said to expect you. Keep heading up this road past the graveyard and keep going up the road to the left and you'll see it. Actually you can't miss it.
Rene: Thank you.
Rene smiles softly and walks back out into the last rays of the setting sun. She gets back into the car, and soon heads up the long stretch of road. As she passes by the graveyard a raven takes flight from the tall tree and seems to fly slightly ahead of her moving along the road.
Rene: I have to admit this is a strange match that I am involved in. When I think about it, I don't really know anything about my partner. He's just as strange as the rest of the company that he keeps. But he knows something about me that I need to know... Something that I need... It's the part of me that I have never been able to discover.
The massive manor soon comes into view, and Rene is in awe of the size of it. The raven soon lands one of the window sils high above the entrance way as she parks her car. Rene steps out of the car, and walks up the front steps. She rings the bell and waits for the door to be answered. The door soon opens and we see Emily standing in front of her. She smiles at Rene as Rene bows slightly.
Rene: Is the master of the house in?
Emily: Of course. He's been expecting you actually. Come in.
Rene steps into the house, as Emily turns and moves to the steps.
Emily: Darling, Miss Volkov is here!
He stands at the top of the stairs dressed in a well made tailor suit as he begins the slow walk downstairs.
Seph: Ah, Doctor. Tis a pleasure. We so rarely get visitors I was afraid you would not find the place. I sent you, Morrigan, she is so good at making sure no harm comes to my visitors. Come, I'm sure you have many questions.
He says nodding politely to her as he reaches the bottom stair motioning to the adjacent parlor nearby.
Rene: Thank you Mister du Lac. It is a lovely home.
She follows behind him, as Emily heads to the kitchen. Rene sits on one of the deep red velour chairs, as she looks around the room.
Seph: Thank you. You could say it's certainly a house with character, no?
He smiles warmly a far cry from the monster most make him out to be even amicable as he leans on a nearby loveseat before pulling a file from his jacket. A thick set of documents in his hand as he holds them to her.
Seph: I promised you answers and I am a man that keeps his promises. In these files lies answers but only partial. For the rest I fear you and I must uncover together. You see I did not simply call you here for these or even to strategize about our match. I called you here as I call all here for a singular purpose.
Rene leans forward in the chair, as she lets out a deep breath. Her blue eyes seemed to almost shift into something else before going back to their normal color.
Rene: I have been trying to figure out what my father meant... Or rather my creator had meant all of that time and now... Now I understand. But I still don't know where the memories came from, the training. I know I did everything that I said I have... Right? Or was it.. Is it part of his creation?
Seph sighs and sits on the arm of her chair sitting the files in her lap gently and placing a hand on her shoulder.
Seph: I know this is a lot to take in. It can't be easy but regardless of whether or not you did any of it you are who you are. Who you choose to be. My friend Saulot used to say 'Memories mold us and shape us, true, but they are not us. What is in the past is in the past all that matters is your future and what you make of it'. He was a wise man. He died at the hands of people that never understood him, could never understand him. No one, not even I can understand what you must feel but I assure you whatever you face I won't let you face it alone.
He says it with a soft voice the voice of an understanding person who truly sympathizes and yet she hesitates. Why? Why is he doing this? Helping her? Why so suddenly friendly? She knows she shouldn't trust and yet... she looks at the files . Her fathers journal inside . Files diagrams. So many secrets and yet ... here he was offering her the truth even her father held from her. She pulls out the journal, and looks up at him with a soft smile.
Rene: How did you get this? Was he a friend? Or did you just seem to come across it? I mean I'm grateful for what you have done. You have saved his work in more ways than one.
Seph: I visited your island. There are certain talents. Things I can sense that most mortals cannot. I was familiar with his work but I was not prepared for what I found. You see a friend of mine used his research before on genetics not to the extent of your own creation but a very similar concept was attempted years ago. I found this during my last visit. After reading it's contents I felt it was better off with his family. Despite what you might think he is your father whether created or by birth. He loved you. All father's love their children.
Rene: He was proud of me. He always told me I was his greatest and only great accomplishment in his life.
A tear falls down her cheek and wipes it quickly.
Rene: I'm sorry... I'm not usually quite this emotional.
He stands and nods approvingly.
Seph: Splendid. Then it's settled then...
Rene looks puzzled for a moment.
Rene: What is the offer that you mentioned the last time we met?
He just smiles at her darkly holding up a hand as if to hold back the question.
Seph: All in due time, my dear.
Rene: As you wish then...
Rene gathers up the folder and looks back at him once again. He walks her to the door, and directs her toward the guest house. The night was quiet as the sound of crickets are heard coming from the thick forest around her.
Rene: Dean Tyler... A man that I have no real information on. I've watched your matches but that is not enough. There are so many flaws in your moves that one can estimate when you are going for certain ones. You really need to fix that I'm afraid. But the way you seem to go after my partner all because he's better than you. Is that it? Are you jealous? I mean look at the two other people around you... Two champions but yet you have nothing. I bide my time and wait for something greater than what I have gone after before. I've tried and yes I have failed. You can't win all of the time, but this time I will win, all due to the fact of the man I team with. Now Dean I'm not going to underestimate you. Perish the thought. I will study your moves, and train my body to be ready for something that I have a feeling that we shall and can win in the end. I know your partner all to well, and I will take such great joy in destroying him.
Rene continues along the stone pathway, hearing her high heeled shoes clicking along the white stones under her feet.
Rene: Brian... You have managed to break away from a man that everyone seems to adore. It's about time. You are good, but not that good. So what if you have the tag titles at the moment... That will change won't it? You don't have the power house at your side that you once had. Shame. Now you are tossed into the ring with a partner that you have no clue about. The question now is do you trust him? Do you trust the man that stands with you? Can he trust you? There is the question that remains in my mind and one that will be answered soon enough. But you are a follower no matter what group belong to. And you always will be no matter what or who you believe in. Brian we have done this dance many times before and I have yet to beat you, but this time, this time it changes. I will defeat you and change my luck around no matter what I have to do to get there. I will make you bleed and pray to God that you have never heard of me.
She rounds the corner and soon she sees the guest house. It was done like a smaller version of the main estate but yet it seemed cozy and a place that she could rest for the evening. She had to let what she had found out soak in. She needed to let her mind take everything in but most of all she needed to relax.
Rene: To both of my opponents, I don't think you realize what is coming at you let alone ready to face us. This is our time to shine, and trust this time I will have my vengeance in the end. I don't think is really anything else that I can say to either one of you that hasn't been said by either one of us. Just know that you're time is coming and there is nothing that you can do to stop us.
As Rene reaches the walk way for the guest house, Sothren runs out in front of her wit a squirrel in his mouth. She looks at him with wide eyes as he spits a piece of the squirrel out.
Soth: I'm an outdoor guy now...
He goes to all fours, and runs off leaving Rene alone once again. She shakes her head as she continues along the pathway and soon reaches the door.
Rene: This place is very strange indeed.
Rene opens the door, and heads inside as the scene fades to black.
