Act 1: Not what she seems
Voice Over: Words can sometimes make you realize that you haven't done what you wanted to do. I got the BAMF Title but I didn't really beat the former champion for it. I do respect him, and I know he respects me...But this match is where I will prove myself to not only him but to the world.
The scene opens on a long stretch of road somewhere in New Jersey. The night had come on fast, and the stars were dulled against the bright lights of the city. The sound of traffic filled the air, mixing with the sound of frogs and crickets that could be found along the side of the long stretch of road that wound itself through the vast countryside. The road seemed almost empty at the late hour, all but one lone black limo that made its way along the long stretch of road. The camera moves to the interior of the limo where we see Joanne sitting in the back, staring out the window with Uh Oh sitting beside her. Her long black hair was pulled back from her face, as her dark eyes scanned the scenery passing by. The sound of voices came from Reno and Rude who sat up front, drifted softly back toward her but she had yet to even notice. Her mind drifted back to the island that they had left just a few days ago, to the island of Pandora.
The Island of Pandora
The scene reopens on the island of Pandora where the night had fallen, The camera moves over the island and soon stops on the bar where we hear the music coming from within, mixing with voices that drifted from within and floated on the night air. The smell of smoke, from the fire pit outside seemed to linger on the air, as the camera moves the interior of the bar where we see familiar faces through out. The camera moves to a darkened corner of the room where we see Joanne sitting by herself. After a chat with Seph she sits and ponders if the night had been a total waste. She hadn't fed yet, and no one looked like they would be worth taking. She sighs leaning back against her seat, as she watches the room. Soon a figure appears as her eyes narrow.
Joanne: What do you want?
Johnny holds up his hands as if to appease her though a beer bottle still sits in his hand as he does.
J.R.: Relax there , Canola oil. I came to bury the hatchet and not just in your pointed head. I'm just here to wish ya luck in this thing.
Joanne looks up at him leaning forward in her seat and puts her hands in front of her.
Joanne: Really? You sure you're not here to run your mouth about this crazy thin'?
Johnny just chuckles tossing the beer back and washing out his mouth before just shrugging.
J.R.: Naw, truth be told I don't mean no harm. At least not now. I just say that stuff to get under your skin. All part of my strategerie and charm.
He looks over at the chair across from her.
J.R.: Can I sit a spell?
Joanne sighs and kicks out a chair toward him from underneath the table.
Joanne: Sure... Why not
He takes a seat across from her smiling broadly as he leans on the table taking a sip of his beer.
J.R.: Much obliged.
Joanne: Enjoyin' the island?
She takes a sip of dark liquid that is in the glass that in front of her.
J.R.: What? Sun? Fun? And paranoia? What's not to love? At least they have an open bar. How about you? I saw ya talkin' to tall dark ad creepy earlier. Figured he might have told ya somethin' interestin'
Joanne raises an eyebrow and just smirks.
Joanne: I don't like the sun at the moment. I don't feel the heat or cold, so it's fine... As for the old man... It was nothin' important.
Johnny just smiles broadly and shrugs leaning back in his chair.
J.R.: Fine fine keep yer secrets. I don't mind. Truth is I don't really give a shit what happens. I just got a free vacation out of it.
He leans in then and just takes another sip before sighing and looking a bit serious.
J.R.: Listen, I want you to know where I'm comin' from here so I'm gonna shoot it to ya straight. I don't like the way you won the belt. My belt. And I get it you won but to me ya didn't win the way it mattered. I know you got the belt but let's be honest ya didn't exactly win it completely fair and square didja?
Joanne looks down at the table before looking back at Johnny.
Joanne: No I didn't. The thin' is I didn't want to win the way I did. Dario got to you before I did. I wanted to prove to everyone that I could do it on my own and I never got that.
Johnny nods as she confides.
J.R.: I know. No one wants to win like that. Especially that belt. The only thing I ever wanted was for you to prove that it belongs with you. That you earned my belt. And I'm gonna do that. Whether you win or I do, don't matter. All I ask is that ya treat me and that belt with the respect it deserves. I know you got other belts hangin' on yer wall. But that belt is my first. The only one I fought for that I earned. I live my life without remorse there , Joanne, I fight hard fer what I got. I earned that belt against someone that held it for over a year. I just want to feel like I got a fair shake. So I want to earn it back. You and me. Just us. Two badasses fightin' like hell till one is left. Thats all I want. All I ever wanted. Ya dig?
Joanne: No, I get it. Trust me when you win your first it's the best feelin' in the world. I've been there. But I will show you the respect that you deserve. It's nothin' personal... It's all business with me.
J.R.: That's all I can ask for.
He takes another sip and glances over to the side of the room he came from.
J.R.: Uh-oh. Gotta go. I think Ex is threatenin' the head chef.
Johnny stands to his feet walking over to the corner and calling out.
J.R.: EX! EX PUT HIM DOWN! HE DON'T GOT NO MORE BACON WRAPPED SHRIMP!!!
Joanne sighs, as she leans back in her seat watching the room, as the scene fades to black.
Voice Over: Sometimes words can make you think. Make you fade away from where you are. But you should always learn from what the memories are. If not... you might be doomed to repeat what you've already done.
Voice: Earth to Joanne? Are you in there?
Joanne snaps from her thoughts and smiles softly at Uh Oh as she nods.
Joanne: Yeah... I was just thinkin' about somethin' that Johnny said and...
Uh Oh: What did he say? I mean you're one of the best in the business.
Joanne: It wasn't anythin' bad. He and I actually saw eye to eye on somehin'.
She runs a hand over her raven hair, as she looks over at Uh Oh smiling softly.
Uh Oh: You seem strangely alright about this.
Joanne: I am actually because it's true. When it came down to the last few of us in that match I NEVER faced off against Johnny. I was takin' care of the others in that match and Dario... Dario was the one that grabbed the brass knuckles and knocked Johnny out givin' me the win... Now I'm usually one to look a gift horse in the mouth but... Somethin' didn't feel right you know.
Uh Oh looks over at her and shakes his head.
Uh Oh: I wish I did. Are you sure he wasn't trying to make you doubt yourself?
Joanne shakes her head as she leans back in her seat.
Joanne: No. He was right. And I don't say that often... I mean I wanted to be the kind of champion that was willin' to do everythin' to prove myself to make sure that I am the champion that I want to be. I haven't had a title defense yet... This match is kind of my way of showin' everyone that I am the true BAMF Champion.
Uh Oh: You are a true champion. You pulled out the win and took the title. You shouldn't feel bad.
Joanne: I don't. I'm glad that I have it. I just don't like the fact that I didn't take out the former champ to get it. Someone else did my dirty work for me.
Uh Oh puts a hand over hers and smiles softly.
Uh Oh: You have done a lot in your career and this is just another stepping stone to get where you want. I mean you have done everything that you could to get where you are, whether or not you had other people do it for you. You are a boss! You are the Godfather of Jersey Shore! And the love of my life.
Joanne smiles and kisses him deeply as the scene fades to black.
Voice Over: Its funny how thin's work in your life. When you are feelin' torn between certain thin's you always seem to have that someone that is at your side. When the old man isn't around, Uh Oh always seems to be. My other half got somethin' right at least... He is one of the best men that I have in my life.
The scene opens on the beautiful Jersey Shore once more. The sun had started to come up over the horizon casting it's beautiful rays over the area. The sound of birds chirping in the trees echos through the small walled suburb where the massive homes sat behind the high walls. The camera soon focuses on the familiar gates of the Canelli Estate. A light fog drifts over the ground, as the bare trees reach out with their long finger like branches. The long driveway winds itself along the vast estate grounds, and soon comes to a stop on the main house. There sat a car in the driveway and we see Chris Clinton standing at the door. The camera moves to the interior of the house where we see Uh Oh heading toward the front door. He opens it and smiles.
Uh Oh: Mister Clinton... We didn't expect you until this evening...
Chris Clinton: I had someone cancel on me and I figured Miss Canelli would want to get her interview out of the way.
Uh Oh: Ummm... That's not really a good idea right now... She's...
Voice: Hey baby!
As Chris walks through the front door, he looks up the stairs seeing a blond haired woman dressed in a low cut top that hung off of her shoulders, and showed her toned stomach. a short skirt adorned her slender waist and underneath the skirt was a pair of leopard print leggings. She smiles as she reaches the bottom of the stairs, and leans against the railing.
Chris Clinton: Miss Canelli?
Woman: No... I'm Molly.
Chris Clinton: Uh Oh, what's going on?
Uh Oh: I tried to warn you.
Chris Clinton: Can we still go through with the interview?
Molly: Of course we can! Just because she's not here, doesn't mean I can't give you some answers...
Uh Oh: Do you think that's a good idea?
Molly: Of course it is!
Molly takes Chris by the arm, and she leads Chris to the living room. It was quiet but he game system and controllers had been left out from the guys the night before. Molly sets the controller down on the table beside her as she sits on the leather couch and motions for Chris to sit in one of the over sized chairs.
Chris Clinton: I'm not sure what to really ask you since it will be more than likely Miss Canelli facing off against Johnny Reb...
Molly smiles as she leans back against the black leather couch.
Molly: I have to admit that would be an amazin' match. He is so cute... It's a shame that he's married.
Chris Clinton: What do you think your chances are in the match against a man that held the BAMF Championship for almost a year?
Molly: I think my chances are still pretty good. I can handle my own. Hell I've been in the ring before and I know that I can actually stand against someone like Reb. I don't plan on lettin' him win though. I'm goin' to do whatever I can to stop him.
Chris Clinton: Those are some strong words. What is your plan for getting through this match?
Molly: I'm goin' to reveal that. I mean what kind of person would I be if I did somethin' like that? Hell I'm not even sure what type of match I want it to be yet. I want to keep him on his toes and show him that I am the rightful BAMF Champion. I know that he is goin' to do what he has to but so am I. This match might just work in my favor if nothin' else.
Chris Clinton: Johnny has had experience in tougher and bigger matches than anythin' that you can throw at you.
Molly looks over at him as her eyes narrow.
Molly: Do you think that I CAN'T win?
Chris Clinton: I wasn't saying that at all!
Molly: I'm goin' to win! I'm goin' to beat the holy hell out of Johnny and make him wish that he never stood in the ring with me. It's nothin' personal it has ALWAYS been business between us. But this is where it ends between us until the pay per view!
Chris Clinton: I want to wish you luck in this match. I know its not for the title, but...
Molly gets to her feet and smirks.
Molly: The only one that will need the luck is Johnny. I'll show him why I am the BAMF Champion! Now if you excuse me I have a few more days to get ready for this one.
Chris gets to his feet as Molly starts to head back out of the living room waiting on him
Chris Clinton: Thank you for your time Molly.
Molly walks him to the door, and leads him out as Molly smiles softly closing the door behind him, as the scene fades to black.
