Act 1: First Loss
The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand. Vince Lombardi
After Revolution 07/14/19
The scene opens on the beautiful city of Montreal Quebec. The camera moves over the city, and soon comes to a stop on the Bell Center. The show was over and now the stage hands started to make their way around the arena trying to get everything ready for the next show back in the states. The camera moves down the long hallways, passing by a few superstars that had been held back due to the EMT's, or to get themselves cleaned up before they headed out for the night. The stage hands moved through the hallway, pushing and dragging large boxes toward the trucks that were waiting i the underground parking lot. The music, the pyro, and the sound of the crowd had long since faded away and now there was only the noise of the stage hands. The camera moves along the hallways and toward a section away from the main locker rooms, and where the EMT's office sat. On the table was Rene after her match against Fathi, and Brian Kennedy with Diamond Rose at her side. She had been pinned and they had lost. She sits with her head hung in shame at the loss. A shadow moves into the doorway and she looks up seeing Jennifer Engima standing in the doorway. She moves across the floor as Rene sighs.
Jennifer: What's wrong?
Rene: I lost...
Jennifer: Is that all?
Rene: Diamond tried to help me as much as she could and I still let you all down.
Jennifer raises Rene's face and smiles softly.
Jennifer: You did not let us down my dearest. You did what you could, and you will get better as time goes on.
Rene: But what about...
Jennifer: Fathi and Brian? Oh don't worry about them. Diamond and I will handle them.
Rene: Are you sure?
Jennifer: Of course. We have a score to settle with them anyway. Lets get you home so you can rest.
Jennifer extends her hand to Rene and smiles. Rene takes it and smiles softly as they head for the door to the hallway, and step out into the hallway as the scene fades to black.
Act 2: Who am I?
The scene opens on the headquarters of the Covenant. The mansion seemed to be in the middle of nowhere and the high windows seemed to glow from top to bottom. The long driveway stretched on as far as the eye could see and was lined with high trees that opened to the vast forest around it. The camera moves to the interior of the mansion where we see dark hardwood floors, with deep red runners that ran along the long stretch of hallways, and staircases that could be found on either side of a fountain that streamed down with lights underneath the water. The smell of vanilla and what could be wild berries seemed to fill the air, and the sound of a grandfather clock ticked somewhere in one of the sitting rooms toward the left hand side of the stairs. We soon see Jennifer carrying a box in her arms along the hallway on the upper floors. She passe pictures that lined the walls and soon stops in front of a wooden door and knocks. It soon opens and we see Rene on the other side.
Jennifer: This came for you Rene.
Rene: Who's it from?
Jennifer: I'm not sure. There was no return address.
Rene: But no one knows I'm here.
Jennifer: Do you want me to open it?
Rene: No, it's fine... If it had been a bomb it would have gone off by now.
Jennifer nods as Rene takes the box into the room, with Jennifer following behind. Rene opens the box revealing what appears to be folders, a few strange drawings and a very worn leather bound journal.
Jennifer: What's all this?
Rene: I don't know...
She looks at the journal and opens it, seeing a name on the first page, and her eyes get wide.
Jennifer: What is it?
Rene: It belonged to my father...
Jennifer: I'll give you your privacy then. If you need me I'll be downstairs.
Rene doesn't seem to hear Jennifer as she starts to look over the papers that she was no spreading out in front of her. Jennifer goes to walk out of the room, and turns back.
Jennifer: Oh don't forget you have a match against AJ Flare in a few weeks time.
Rene doesn't turn around, but nods as she continues to pour over the drawings, before picking one up. Her eyes get wide as she smiles before setting it down back on the desk near the window that over looked the grounds.
Rene: My father was... I don't know what to really call him... A genius, mad man, or something more. I've always known that there was something different about me. I have intelligence, and I have never lost a track and field event. I'm quick, and a little bit stronger than most. I've always felt superior to others. Is it because of my up bringing? Was it because I was always taught that failure was never an option?
She looks out the window and sighs.
Rene: When I made us lose to Fathi and Brian I let not only my new family down, but my own flesh and blood down as well... But I will not make the same mistake again.
She looks down at the desk and sees a file open to information on AJ Flare. She looks down at the page, and smirks.
Rene: AJ Flare... A wannabe champion. How long did you even hold the Pride Title? A month? A few weeks? Of course what does it matter? You haven't done anything since then, and have lost every match that you've been in. You are a failure and nothing more. Yes I lost my first match, but I have a chance to try again, and I don't plan on losing. I'm going to enjoy tearing you apart in the end. See you soon and good luck you're going to need it.
She turns and looks over her shoulder as a smirk forms on her dark lips, as the scene fades to black.
