A Quick Chat
The scene opens on the backstage area of the arena, where we see the camera moving down the long hallway passing by the stage hands, that are putting the finishing touches on the show that was to happen in the next few hours. The arena was still free of the crowds and still quiet except for the stage hands that moved around the arena quickly. In the main part of the lobby we see a handful of superstars that were sitting at a few tables scattered around the lobby. We see Joanne sitting at one of the tables with a long line of people in front of her. The guys stood behind her for protection, with the NCW security team could be found near by. She signs a few autographs and shirts and takes a few pictures with those that wanted them. We soon see Maria Reyes appear at the table and leans in asking Joanne something. She nods and gets up from where she sits.
Maria Reyes: I'm sorry for disturbing you.
Joanne: It's alright. I needed a break anyway.
Maria Reyes: I was wondering if I could get a few words about your match tonight?
Joanne: Of course... What do you want to know?
Maria Reyes: Tonight you face off against Hex Girl, who is the Pride of the People's Champion. What do you think your chances are tonight?
Joanne: Well considerin' its not for the title, I think my chances are good I mean I've faced her before... At least I think I have. I've faced a lot of people over the last few years and can't remember who I've stood against. I know she's goin' to give me a fight, but I'm ready for anythin' that she can throw at me.
Maria Reyes: Hex has been in a roll lately and is looking for another win tonight.
Joanne: Yeah so am I. It's been a while since I was booked before I had to face off against AJ Flare a couple of weeks ago It was a good rest but I'm glad to be back and in the tournament. I mean if I don't pull off the win in the Siren's Battle Royale I'll be lookin' for another title. I'm not sayin' that Hex is goin' to be an easy target or anythin' but I know she not be focused on this match when she has a title match comin' up.
Maria Reyes: She is busy, but she will be trying to get to the end of this tournament. How far do you think you'll get?
Joanne: I'm goin' to go all the way to the end of this little tournament. I don't plan on losin' between tonight and the end. I know there are a lot of tough people in this one but I plan on goin' through each and every one of them until I get to the end. Is there anythin' else?
Maria Reyes: Do you have anything else to say to your opponent?
Joanne: Hex I know that you're goin' to be comin' at me with everythin' that you have to win this match. But you have to know that I will do whatever it takes to get onto the next round of this tournament. I will put you through hell and back in this match just to prove that I am better than you and always will be. So what if you are a title holder? I've defeated title holders, and non title holders and still managed to beat them, and you're not goin' to be any different. I'm goin' to win this match no matter what you do to, to try and stop me. We are the Mafioso and we get paid to kick your ass!
Maria Reyes: Thank you for your time Miss Canelli. I'll let you get back to it. And good luck tonight.
She turns and walks off leaving Maria alone as the scene fades to black.
