[Phoenix Halliwell]

*It is a hot, hot, hot July 1st, 2019 with a high of 29º C (84.2º F) with the humidity making it feel more like the low-to-mid-30s (mid 80's-to-mid 90's). The NCW Tag Team Champions, the Cosmic Connection are in downtown Ottawa for the Canada Day celebrations. They are standing on Wellington St., in front of the Parliament Buildings, among the literal sea of humanity; almost all of them wearing some sort of combination of red and white.  As the camera pans the crowd, you can even see some of the people dressed up as former NCW competitor Captain Canuck.  The sounds of music by Canadian groups like The Guess Who, the Tragically Hip, Barenaked Ladies and Bachman Turner Overdrive are heard echoing off of the buildings as people move about to the vendors that line either side of the street. Everything as mundane as hot dogs to maple leaf-shaped sunglasses are on offer for whomever wants them. Somewhere in the crowd, Ryan Reynolds is walking around; presumably shaking hands and maybe signing autographs.  Knowing most Ottawans though, they're probably thinking "Hey that guy looks just like Ryan Reynolds!"  The atmosphere is electric and the word of the day, so to speak, is most definitely: Canada.  The camera moves over the crowd again and we soon zoom in on two familiar faces within. It was Phoenix and Venus taking a few pictures with fans that stopped them to say hello.  Venus is dressed in a white, spaghetti-strapped, tank top with the word "Canada" across her chest and red short shorts.  On her feet are a pair of sport sandals. Phoenix is wearing a red T-shirt with "Not only am I perfect, I'm CANADIAN too!" written on it.  He's in black, denim shorts and is wearing a pair of male sport sandals.  Approximately 10-15 feet to the left, Chris Clinton, wearing a red sport coat and white dress shirt, spots them and starts to move himself and his camera crew closer.  Venus looks over to where Chris Clinton and his camera crew are and waves to them.*


Venus: Look who it is!

Phoenix: Several hundred thousand people down here and Chris actually manages to find us.  That's incredible!

Venus: He has a sixth sense when it comes to us then.

Phoenix: That, in and of itself, is too scary to even think about.

*The crew and Chris finally make their way through the crowds and meet up with the tag team champions.*

Venus: Chris it's good to see you. But how did you find us in all of these people?

Chris: Well, it was difficult; wading through all the beer drinkers and smokers of various things, but I ultimately tracked you two down!  Ha! Ha!  As for how I did it... well... let's just say it's a trick of the trade.

*Venus looks over at Phoenix and smiles softly as they start to walk back through the crowd to a quieter spot.  They walk east on Wellington St. until they reach Elgin St.  They hang a right and walk through the crowd till they end up at the Canadian war memorials and cenotaph.  The crew set up their equipment and, for the most part, the people seem to pay no attention as to what's going on; content to stay in their own party world with their friends and loved ones.*

Chris:  Hello everyone!  Happy Canada Day!  This here is Chris Clinton coming to you from Canada Day on Parliament Hill, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  Yeah!  It's a scorcher of a day here in Ottawa and standing next to me right now, are the NCW World Tag Team Champions, The Cosmic Connection themselves.  Of course, I'm referring to Charmed One, Phoenix Halliwell, and the lovely Star Child, Venus Mercury.  Champs, it's a honour to be here in this city celebrating Canada's 152nd birthday.

Venus: It was an honor to be here today. We've met up with a lot of our fans this morning and afternoon.

Phoenix: And, of course, it's nice to be home on Canada Day.  Canada Day in Ottawa is pretty special for me.

Chris: Why's that?

Phoenix: Well, like I said, it's home.  I'm sure if you ask a lot of musicians, or actors, or anybody who has to travel a lot for their job, they'll tell you that the place they want to be when events like this come around, I would say that most, if not all of them would like to be in their hometown.  It's just seeing all the familiars... the peoples' faces, the buildings and the stores around here... It just makes me feel good, is all.

*Venus smiles softly as she is recognized by a young girl who runs to her and hugs her before running off once again.*


Venus: Another fan.

Chris: There seem to be quite a few of them around here... and around the world, of course.  So, tell me... coming up next for you two is to defend your Tag Team Championship at Revolution.  In somewhat of a twist, the team you will be facing seems to have taken their name from that of the PPV.  You will square off against Revolution; the team of...

Venus: Micah and Kenzi... They have a few wins under their belts, and they were the tag team champions for a short time.

Phoenix: Only because we allowed it.  Let's face it, Chris... after Hiro and Cazza defeated us for the belts, they became a hot potato of sorts, for all the teams in the NCW.  We decided to take a small break from chasing those belts because we knew that we could take them back any time we wanted.  Sure enough, we were right.  Let me ask you a question, Chris... how many teams have been champions between our two title reigns?

Chris: Uhm... I'm not sure...

Phoenix: I'll tell you... 4.  Hiro and Cazza, The Social Graces, The Eclipse Of Darkness, and MK-127.  Before they were vacated and we won them back, the Social Graces decided that they didn't want to face the eventual music of the cosmos that the Connection would bring them, and so they ran.  This, however, is not about them... it's about the tag team formerly known as MK-127.

Venus: We have faced them before and then beaten them, but then again who hasn't? They think they have made it to the top with their talent when it was just pure luck, but their luck is going to end when they face us at Revolution!

Phoenix: You see, Micha and Kenz... or Revolution or whatever you wanna call yourselves... you'll learn that a new name and maybe a few new moves doesn't make a new team.  Deep down, you're still lil ol' MK-127... the NCW's doormat tag team.  You are the team that gets stepped on so often by every other team that it's only a matter of time before NCW throws the doormat out.  So, I'm telling you... please give this match your all.  Take it to us the best way you know how.  I'm practically begging for you to do that.  Quite frankly, I'm hoping you DO actually give us a challenge.  Don't get me wrong, it's not like you're going to win the belts or anything ludicrous like that... but I'm sure if you make a really good showing, maybe Allura will keep you two around for a little longer.

*Venus looks at Phoenix and nods.*


Venus: We've had every other team come at us and none of them have stood up to the challenge. We want you to give us the fight that we've been looking for since we got them back. If you think the two of you have what it takes then come and take the tag titles away from us.

Phoenix: We double-dog-dare you! So mote it be!

*Venus laughs as she looks over to Chris.*


Venus: Is that everything Chris?

Chris: I think that will do nicely, Miss Mercury.  Thank you to my guests the Cosmic Connection for their comments leading up to their tag team title defense at Revolution.  Don't forget, folks... there's an action-packed card that night at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, so don't forget to get your tickets now.  If you can't be there in person, there is always calling up your local cable company and ordering NCW Revolution on Pay-Per-View.  It's going to be a war, folks... don't you dare miss it!

*Venus smiles and hugs Chris before she takes Phoenix's hand once again.

Venus: It was good to see you again Chris. I hope you enjoy the rest of the day.

Chris:  Actually, I have to make my way out of this crowd and head off to the airport.  So many NCW stars to interview, you know.

Phoenix: Such is the life we lead, Chris.

Chris: You're telling me?  Yeah, anyway, have a great day, you two, and Happy Canada Day to you!

Venus: You too.

*Chris and Co. make their way through the crowds once again, to find some way out of the downtown core of Ottawa.  Easier said than done.  Venus and Phoenix just look at each other and laugh.  They start to wander through the crowd once again, as the scene fades to black.*
