Chris Clinton: hello everyone this is Chris Clinton and getting ready for a big title match I am standing with one half of the challengers for the NCW Tag team Championships. I am with Uh Oh. You almost won the vacant tag team titles in the battle royale.

Uh Oh: We did alright but unfortunately we just were not on the same page, but we worked harder and now we only have to focus on 1 team instead of several. I feel out chances have increased significantly.

Chris ClintoN: true. You and JJ are an odd couple team but still you guys have had some luck in the past.

Uh Oh: but we have really tough opponents ahead. Cosmic Connection, two time tag champions and the longest reigning tag champs in history. Venus Mercury hasn't been too successful one on one but in tag team matches she is one of the best ever. Then we take Phoenix former Pride of the People, former Eternal, a three time Pinnacle champion, and two time tag champion, the franchise of NCW. He is a major threat and I hope JJ will be ready for him because I know I won't be able to handle Phoenix on my own.

Chris Clinton: Are you worried about JJ's injuries at the hands of the Brotherhood of Darkness at Assault.

Uh OH; We all know Evan Storm was all about that hit. I am not sure why he targeted JJ, RJ is his opponent. Makes me worry that Phoenix and Venus might have made a deal with the devil that is Evan Storm.

Chris Clinton: Evan has been hiring all sorts of people to do his dirty work. It makes sense about your concerns about who can you trust. How are you feeling?

Uh OH: Still a bit sore from Assault. They did a number on me but in the end we won and now I must prove myself to Joanne and win this match. JJ I got your back. Cosmic Connection I look forward to a good clean match.

Chris Clinton: Well good luck Uh Oh.

[Phoenix Halliwell]

*We are coming to you live from the Northgate Lions Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where several NCW stars are taking part in an independent show put on by the Prairie Wrestling Association (PWA). The building itself, located at 7524 139 Ave NW in Edmonton, is very non-descript with white walls, a white floor and bright flourescent lights in the ceiling. The ring is entirely black; a black mat, black ropes and even the turnbuckle posts and covers are black. It is an unusual contrast. The mats surrounding the ring are, you guessed it, black. On the card tonight, among other matches is a tag team match featuring the NCW Tag Team Champions the Cosmic Connection, made up of the Star Child Venus Mercury and the Charmed One Phoenix Halliwell, taking on a team from the PWA known only as Body Break. But that's later this evening. For the moment, almost every competitor on the card is standing behind various and sundry merchandise tables featuring all kinds of items; T-shirts, books, DVD/Blu-rays and, of course, pictures for signing. Fans are lined up two and sometimes three abreast to talk with and to get personal photos and selfies of all of their heroes and heroines. As the camera pans down the row of tables, it settles on the booth of the Cosmic Connection. Phoenix and Venus have their own merch to sell including a book of pictures that the fans pick a picture, and the two will sign it... as well as a new T-shirt. It's black, with a space background on both sides of the shirt; on the front it says Cosmic Connection in a font reminiscent of the Star Trek: Voyager lettering and on the back, it says "A Tag Team like this comes along every 4 billion years..." Venus signs a picture of her and Phoenix for a young boy and kisses him on the cheek before he walks away with his dad.  Another little boy of about 12 comes up to the table wearing jeans and a black T-shirt that reads simply "So Mote It Be..." As he's searching through the available pictures, he starts to chat with Phoenix.*



Little Boy: So, why is the bestest tag team in the world taking on a pair of nobodies in tonight's match? Don't you have JJ and Uh Oh coming up this Sunday?

*Venus looks over and smiles softly.*


Venus: We take every chance to show off our skills for our fans. Tonight is just a warm up for Spring Fling.

Phoenix: But you're right; Sunday is a big one. We defend our NCW Tag Team titles against JJ and Uh Oh. As I'm sure you know, we take every challenge to these belts seriously because, who knows, even a team like Body Break from here in Edmonton, could beat us for them someday. We're the longest reigning Tag Team Champions in NCW History. You don't get to get that kind of accolade by being stupid. Sure, JJ And Uh Oh are thrown together. Venus and I were too and look what we've managed to accomplish. We're going to do it one more time on Sunday and when Monday morning comes around, you can be sure that the belts will still be around our waists.

*A little girl, of about 7 or so being carried in her father's arms, wearing a extra small Venus Mercury T-shirt beckons Ms. Mercury close to her. Her voice is soft but still heard by both Venus and Phoenix.*

Little girl: You have very pretty hair.

*The little girl giggles and then turns bright red because of her shyness. Venus smiles and blushes slightly, as she gets up from where she sits and hugs her gently.*

Venus: Thank you. You're eyes are as blue as the beauty of Neptune. I have something just for you. They haven't been released yet.

*Venus digs out a small box and pulls out a necklace with a line of planets on it. She puts it on her neck, as the young girl smiles.*

Little Girl: Thank you! I love it!

*Phoenix smiles as he's taking a selfie with a family of fans but the reason for the smile is more for what Venus just said and did than for just the simple "Cheese!" smile. It does his heart good to see Venus enjoying herself and enjoying her life.  A young teen girl approaches the table with an older shirt in hand. It was of a nebula with the words written across it, "SHINE LIKE THE STARS". Venus looks up and smiles.*

Venus: Wow, This is one of my first shirts.

Teen Girl: I've been watching you since you started in the business Miss Mercury. I cried when you guys won the tag titles for the first time.

Venus: I remember the night we took them. Were you in the crowd?

Teen Girl: No, we couldn't go to the show. But we'll be watching Sunday night from home when you take on RJ and Uh Oh. I can't wait to see you retain the tag titles.

Phoenix: It's not going to be a night off, that's for sure. Uh Oh is surprisingly cagey and JJ... well, he's one half of the Watleys tag team and I guess there might be a tinge of jealousy on JJ's part because his brother has a title and he doesn't.  He's going to do whatever he can to get one of those belts and Uh Oh wants to do his best to impress Joanne Canelli. So they both have a lot of motivation to take the championships from us. However, we've got that much more motivation to keep them. The fans want it, and we'd never do anything to disappoint our fans.

Venus: We have nothing against either of them. Uh Oh is a kind and loving person and would do anything to help people around him. JJ is... Well... I don't really have the words. I would rather not call him what I see him as not in front of our fans at least.

Teen Girl: I think JJ is an idiot. Uh Oh is ok, but you guys are a lot better.

Phoenix: I think that's the nicest thing we could say about him. *chuckles* It's true that there's no love lost between JJ, his brother and us... Personally, I think Uh Oh could do better with a different partner but that's not really for me to say. All I know is that when that final bell rings and the match is over, JJ and Uh Oh are going to have to carve another notch in the loss column, because there's no way we're letting them take these belts.

Venus: That's right. You have nothing to worry about. We will retain our titles.

*Venus signs the girl's shirt and takes a picture with her before she walks away.Next up comes a young man in his early twenties sporting a well-known Jim Cornette shirt and bright khaki pants. He's trying very hard to concentrate on asking Phoenix his question but Venus's beauty has him more than a little distracted.*

Young Man: I just want you to know Phoenix, that I've watched you for a very long time. It's an honour to meet you.

*Phoenix thanks the man and shake his hand.*

Young Man: I admit that life hasn't really let me stay up on all the knowledge of the NCW so I'm wondering how JJ and Uh Oh even managed to get this title shot in the first place.

Phoenix: It doesn't really matter to us how they got it... they're just the next targets in our sights. You see, most champions will wait for their challengers to come to them and play defence with their titles; not us. The Connection remains the strongest bond in the universe and we openly attack anybody we deem as a threat. For us, this won't be a title defense... just the opposite... it's going to be a title onslaught.

*Phoenix visibly notices the man not even pretending to pay attention him and is now totally gaga-eyed over Venus. Phoenix laughs a little bit, and with a smile, leans over to talk to Venus.*

Phoenix: Venus, Hun... can you answer this man's actual question, though? How did JJ and Uh Oh get this title match anyway?

*Venus looks up with her eyes sparkling in the lights above them.*

Venus: They won their chance at Genocide. They were one of the last few people in the ring and got the number one contender spot for the tag titles. Does that answer your question?

*The man slinks off all smiles and seemingly on cloud nine because the object of his affection spoke directly to him.*

Phoenix: I guess a wrestling show audience takes all kinds. *laughs*

Venus: I guess so. But he was sweet.

Phoenix: I know... but I can't blame him... I still get the same way whenever I look at you...

*She blushes brightly.*

Venus: You're too good to me; you know that, don't you?

Phoenix: Yeah, I know... but you make it so easy.

*They embrace in a hug for a few seconds while the surrounding fans "awwwwww" them.  Flashes go off around them, as Venus smiles. The two of them hold the tag title high as the crowd cheers as the scene fades to black.*
