The room is dimly lit by flickering candles. A solitary figure stands watching the flames dance. His tall powerful form was tense with concern for his children.
Darkson: Evan has proven to be quite crafty. He even managed to weasel out of this match instead we face AJ Flare, Lexi Havoc, and Blaze Havoc. But if need be I will break them and force them to give me the whereabouts of my daughter.
A pale hand squeezes his rather tense shoulder, as he is joined by someone else.
Ice Queen: Evan Storm is a skitstövel for sure my love but I have no doubt that he will be made to talk. I really don’t think his lackies have the resolve to maintain silence when under fire of a severe beating. I expect you, Denise and Leon will make them sing quite the carol.
He smiles at her and with his other hand gently strokes her cheek.
Darkson: I also worry about you. You have a chance to win your first NCW title but you must face Robert Saints, NES 2099, and Thayne Bell, are you worried?
Ice Queen: Worried? About what? It’s just a fatal fourway hardcore match with strings of Christmas lights provided as weapons.
She smiles at him.
Ice Queen: I’d be a fool to not have concerns.
The door to the Ice House opens and in steps Denise dressed in a heavy cloak wrapped around her. She pushes back the hood and bows to them.
Denise: Forgive my lateness. I was just checking on Ambros. The doctors say he is stable once again.
Darkson: My son is very stubborn, not even Necra can take him from you.
Denise smiles, and moves across the stone floor moving toward the fire place.
Denise: Necra could try to but he would never stay on the other side.
Darkson: Not without you.
Ice Queen: Even with you on the other side as an enticement, Denise, I doubt he would stay on the other side for long.
Darkson: Most of the men in my family are fiercely loyal when we find love. Too bad Alex hasn’t found love
Ice Queen pats his shoulder reassuringly.
Ice Queen: Alex still has time. He just needs to calm down a little more.
Darkson: Or the right person… But for now we have to focus on Christmas Mourning…. And Christmas Morning for our twins.
Ice Queen: As for Christmas Mourning that is just going to be inflicting as much pain as possible on our opponents. When it comes to Christmas morning I’m sure that Branwen and Linus are going to manage quite the carnage of gift wrap.
Darkson: Do you find it ironic that we celebrate a Christian holiday for our children despite our heritages?
Ice Queen: It might seem a bit odd but I grew up mostly traveling with my parents and whatever promotion they were working for generally had a holiday party with presents and the like. They didn’t care that we were from a mostly atheist country. All they saw was that Thor and I were children and in their opinion we NEEDED Christmas. So I don’t mind our children having a tradition of it. Even if we are a bit strange.
Darkson: Better than my father’s parenting.
Ice Queen: And in my opinion you already exceeded him in that department.
Darkson: Only because of you.
Ice Queen: You have four other children before ours that have turned out with reasonable combinations of angst, enthusiasm, and respect.
She gives him a playful but encouraging smile.
Darkson: two hate me and one is… she is special
Ice Queen: Speaking of Katsa we need to get her back.
Darkson: Indeed, I am seeking Venus’ aid and I heard Hex Girl is awake but I wish to give her some time to recover
Ice Queen: From what I understand she came out of her coma and started decking hospital staff. I’m sure she’s feeling fine.
Darkson: It takes less effort to punch a doctor than to try to find a missing person. I know from watching Katsa’s mom pummel the hospital staff and security during labor.
Ice Queen: Have you gone to see our pixie sized wiccan friend?
Darkson: Not since Katsa went missing.
Ice Queen: It might be worth it to see what she’s feeling up to. Be it mystical assistance or more physical means of extracting information.
Darkson: She is fond of Katsa, so Evan won’t be liking how she investigates.
Ice Queen: Depending on how her investigation goes I would say Evan would find himself dealing with more than he can handle.
Darkson: NES has been suffering from on and off again injuries. Robert Saints is a back jumping coward, Thayne is your biggest concern, but I do not doubt Evan will look to interfere so while Hex Girl and Venus investigate you will have to watch your back, but I will be at ringside to help.
Ice Queen: I expect that he’ll probably try to make a show during your match as well. After all you, Denise and Leon are facing his lackeys.
Darkson: Evan has proving to be ruthless and resourceful. I have no doubt he has something up his sleeve for all of us.
Ice Queen takes a deep breath.
Ice Queen: He might have something up his sleeve but I have to wonder if he is prepared to truly face the consequences of his actions. I know that you can be rather imposing on your own. But this time Mr. Storm has invited more than just your wrath upon his head. While Ambros might not be able to assist us right now. I’m almost willing to bet that if Evan pushes this any farther that even Alex will want to join in the fray.
Darkson: I will try to contact him.
Ice Queen: He might be your black sheep but he, Ambros and Katsa are triplets. As much as they might fight they have a bond.
She cracks a small smile as she thinks about something.
Ice Queen: Take it from a twin. When you have that kind of bond if push comes to shove you’ll move mountains for each other.
Darkson: I hope you’re right
Ice Queen: Is there anything you’d like for me to assist with? I really dislike the notion of you and Denise running yourselves to death while I focus on just one thing.
Darkson: By taking this title it will be putting a target on yourself for the Elite Empire and most of the roster. You focus on this and then we will strike.
Ice Queen: The Hardcore title is hardly a shining star for the Elite Empire to aspire for but considering what the stipulations Granderson is facing in his match. He might find himself becoming more desperate. So...Mummify Roger Saints in Christmas lights, pound NES back onto the injured list and then make Thayne eat what’s left of the lights along with a portion of my boot. I’m sure Hex Girl and Kate would tell me to be more creative.
Darkson: You are creative where it really matters
Denise leans against the wall listening all the while. Her mind drifting from her thoughts about Ambros and her own match.
Denise: Don’t worry about Blaze and what’s their name… They won’t make it through the match in one piece. You just take care of Thayne, and the rest. It’s time to show the world they can’t mess with the Queen of Ice.
Camera fades out on the trio....
The NCW company logo flashes across the screen and the comes to rest in the upper left corner of the screen. The rest of the image quickly comes in to focus. NCW's newest broadcast team acquisition, Leon Jones, sits behind the desk situated on the right side of the screen there is an empty chair to his left. He looks to the camera as the broadcast begins.
Leon Jones: Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm Leon Jones. I've been asked to do a series of interviews with some of the contestants for the Christmas Mourning Pay Per View. We have our first of those interviews right now here in the studio as I have the pleasure of being joined by the one and only Ice Queen.
Trapped Under Ice by Metallica starts to play as Ice Queen walks out. She shakes Leon's hand before having a seat and the music fades out.
Leon Jones: Ice Queen thank you for taking time out of your schedule to sit down with us today.
Ice Queen: You're welcome Leon.
Leon Jones: For Christmas Mourning you are to face off in a match for the Hardcore title are you at all nervous going up against such imposing competition?
Ice Queen: Leon, if getting in the ring and facing down men made me nervous I'd be in the wrong business.
Leon gives a small chuckle.
Leon Jones: I guess you've got a point there. But still don't you have any concerns about your odds going into this match?
Ice Queen: There are always concerns when you get in the ring. Things can go horribly wrong at anytime and suddenly you are injured or worse. But that is all part of the business is it not. I could sit and worry about every possible permutation of strategy that my opponents might take. However nine times out of ten that much overthinking is just going to result in a migraine.
Leon Jones: So how are you approaching such a difficult match?
Ice Queen: I have taken the time to assess my opponents individually, considered their allegiances, and hypothesized the three most likely strategies they are likely to employ. This allows me to keep my own strategy simple and dynamic.
Leon Jones: Would you care to share your strategy?
Ice Queen gives him a look of 'are you serious'.
Ice Queen: Leon in all of your years of working at WWX and being made to interview Hex Girl did it ever do you any good to ask her that question?
Leon Jones: No, and it normally ended with her either attacking me or leaving me stranded somewhere in redneckville.
Ice Queen: So why ask me?
Leon Jones: Because you're more civilized.
Ice Queen: I have some good news for you Leon.
Leon Jones: You do?
Ice Queen: You're not getting beaten up or stranded today. However, I'm not going to be sharing my primary strategy with you. What I will share with you. Is what I intend to do with my opponents. We are going to be in a ring full of Christmas lights. Robert Saints frankly has no business in that match. Either by my hand or someone else's he'll be lashed to one of the ringposts and then used as a stationary weapon. NES 2099 he'll put in a valiant effort but won't have what it takes to make it to the end of the match. Thayne Bell will be my largest hurdle. Now Leon you are familiar with how brutal Hex could be. She was limited by her size as to what she could do. I have no such limit and what violence I will perpetrate in that ring will be done so with cold efficiency.
Leon Jones: I see. Do you have a message for your opponents?
Ice Queen: Stay home, Gentlemen. Forfeit and save yourselves some pain. I take no pleasure in this but I will destroy you if you insist on standing in my way. For me it's as easy as breathing.
Leon Jones: Well....Thank you for your time Ice Queen we look forward to seeing the outcome of your match at Christmas Mourning.
Leon raises up out of the chair and leans over the desk to shake Ice Queen's hand once again as the camera fades out.

The scene opens in Las Vegas, Nevada as Robert Saints and his wife Kelly Robinson have arrived at the arena early just to see the production crew set up every thing in preparation for the pay per view Christmas Mourning live tonight where Robert has to face off against three other wrestlers for the NCW Bloody Hardcore Championship.
Robert Saints: Ice Queen, NES 2099 or Thayne Bell, it doesn't make a difference to me which one of them gets the Viper Cutter because it doesn't discriminate against anyone because everyone that stands across the ring from me are just another victim that I'll destroy as I prove myself in that ring tonight because I am a fourth generation wrestler. I have a lot of experience in this type of match and all of you know how deadly I can be alone yet with a Christmas lightbulb I'll smash it over everyone and there's going to be many blood dripping from everyone including yours truly because I'm not afraid to shed some blood if it means that I'm walking out as the new champion.
Robert and Kelly are now in their locker room where Robert is watching wrestling tapes of Ice Queen, NES 2099 and Thayne Bell studying up on how each of them fight in the ring so that Robert won't get caught by surprise in the ring tonight.
Robert Saints: The Viper Cutter is an all around offender so it doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman or whatever sexual preferences that they prefer.
Robert continues watching wrestling tapes as the scene fades to black.
