Sydney ran away to Los Angeles, where he became known as Syndicate and started wrestling for the World Wrestling Xistence. Back in Apter, Colt kept studying his craft while perfecting his martial arts skills, and is very adept with kicks and quick moves. The EWU was his first major promotion that he signed to. Colt used to be a major fan-favorite before snapping on Devin "Thunder" Rogers at EWU Retribution 2016, declaring that things would be done his own way from now on. After the NCW/EWU merger, Colt decided to continue his career in NCW in order to show the world that he can truly beat anyone. He is also a devoted Christian, and believes God is the key to his success and his opponents' downfalls.

Entrance: The arena goes pitch black as "Evil Ways (Justice Mix)" begins to softly play. After a moment, a single spotlight centers on the entrance ramp, where Colt "The Maverick" Irvine is standing, wearing a long black trenchcoat and black wide-brimmed cowboy hat. Colt raises his head, stares at the ring, and begins to slowly walk down the ramp. He rolls into the ring, glances around at the disapproving crowd, and turns back towards the stage, stoically waiting for his opponent.
