Biography
One of the most gifted technical wrestlers of all time, Junhoon Lee has wowed the wrestling world with his in-ring abilities since the age of 17. His prime was in UCW when he had breath-taking matches with the likes of Somchai Thaksin and Damian Price, the former a Muay Thai master and the other a wrestler also famous and hailed for his in-ring magic. However, he had no real luck with getting championships he felt he deserved- his best being the WWX tag team championship, which was to be taken away soon after winning, at Armada. Darkson once awakened his evil dragon spirit, but alas, to no avail, as wrestling fans remember that era as one of Lee's must-forget history moments.
Also, Junhoon has been questioned about his abilities OUTSIDE the squared circle. Indie wrestling fans hail him as a god because of his in-ring charisma and technical perfection, but the fans of the bigger universes have disregarded him just as "another indie guy", and some have even questioned why he hasn't been a jobber yet.
As the famed online wrestling blogger John Seltzer once wrote: "(Lee) is undoubtedly the best in the world when it comes to wrestling abilities alone- but he does not know he is in a different world now- gone are the days where your reputation and fame comes from showing off. The bigger audience demand something more. They want to see a CHARACTER, not another Rocky Balboa."
Yes, he admittedly had played "the good honest warrior" throughout his career- and this lately has led him to a series of therapy sessions. This was not the case before, as he had been himself all along, he thought it was all he needed. Be good, wrestle good. However, his abrupt leave from UCW and WWX has given fans speculations of him retiring with questions- were his in-ring capabilities all for nothing?
Or... has he REALLY been himself? Is he really the good "Far East Warrior" that the world has seen as of yet?
"The Dragon is no more, he is a mere Imugi now" is a quote that another wrestling blogger wrote as he left UCW. However, what if the Imugi causes a storm and a turbulance in the waters he lies below?
(Oh yes, and he still lives with his brother Ashton, who is a model and freelance writer. He looks like a fucking girl and it is disgusting)
